Equipment List
It is very important to have the right equipment for the trip otherwise it may ruin your trip. The following are the recommended checklist of equipment in general. Please always try to keep the weight of your equipment to a minimum as a general rule, the weight of your trek bag while trekking should be no more than 15 kg. Though you can leave the things that you don’t need for trek at hotel in Kathmandu.

Equipment hire / rental
If you want to hire / rent any items for trek, peak climbing OR mountain expedition instead of buying then you can hire / rent them in Kathmandu. Please let us know about this at least 5 weeks prior to the trip departure date and remember to allow room in your trek bag for these items.
First Aid Kit
This is the basic list to cover the more common ailments that affect trekkers. Climbing groups, expeditions and trekkers going to isolated areas will need a more comprehensive kit.
- Bandage for sprains
- Plasters / Band-aids (including blister plasters for walking trips)
- Iodine or water filter (optional)
- Moleskin / Second skin - for blisters
- Antiseptic ointment for cuts
- Anti-bacterial throat lozenges (with antiseptic)
- Aspirin/Paracetamol - general painkiller
- Oral rehydration salts e.g. Dioralyte
- Broad-spectrum antibiotic (norfloxacin or ciprofloxin)
- Anti-diarrhea medication (antibiotic / Imodium or lomotil)
- Antibiotic for Guardia or similar microbe or bacteria
- Diamox 250 / 500 mg (for altitude sickness)
- Sterile Syringe set (anti-AIDS precaution)
- Gel hand cleaner. and your personal medication prescribed by your doctor
- Sterile dressings and bandages
- Antihistamine cream (for insect bites)
