Among several other trails in Annapurna region, Annapurna Base Camp Treks(ABC) is the most tempting goal for ultimate thrilling and natural trekking lovers with its splendid peak views, rich biodiversity, the biggest Rhododendron forest in the globe and adventurous trail. It has remained unaffected for many years by any human development infrastructure. The closer observation of unique culture of ethnic Gurung and Magar community of the region provides extra excitement to the trek. Eleven days ABC trek is the most famous itinerary which guides to the base camp of Annapurna II. The Annapurna Region includes its highest peak, Annapurna I (8,091m), which is the first of the 8,000m mountain to have been climbed by French climber, Annapurna II (7,937m), Annapurna III (7,575m), Annapurna IV, Annapurna South and Dhaulagiri (8,167m).Mt Manaslu stands 40 miles away to the west of Mt Annapurna. And Dhaulagiri stands to the east of it which is 7000m vertically over the Kali Gandaki gorge in about 30 kilometer of horizontal distance.
Our trek to ABC (4095m) starts from Nayapul (one hour drive from Pokhara). From Nayapul, we trek up to the Ghorepani poon hill, from where best views of peaks can be seen. Following through forest and a Chomrong village, ascending through bamboo and Rhododendron forest we will reach in an isolated valley of Annapurna base camp. After the base camp the route goes down to Jhinu a natural hot springs and ends at Nayapul again. Besides the amazing peak views, we offer sightseeing of mysterious Pokahra valley which is the most beautiful city of Nepal. It is surrounded by many peaks and hills and has beautiful lakes, Temples, several Caves and many others things to see.
Upper part of ABC Trek trail has very thin gorge starting from Himalaya to Machhapuchhre base camp withbarely few 100m apart high peaks making it too dangerous to trek during monsoon and winter season as the avalanche often disturb the main route because of snowing and icefall. So the good time to trek this area is in spring season when the climate is good and the whole Ghorepani area is occupied by Rhododendron flowers in thirty two different colors. Ghorepani is the centre point where other routes from Annapurna Panorama Trek, Annapurna Circuit trek, Jomsong Muktinath Trek and meet.
